Juneteenth Freedom Festival is 5:30 pm Monday at Craig Ranch Regional Park with food, family events, and live performers, including African drummers.Ĭost: Admission is free to all events. The Las Vegas branch of the NAACP hosts Jubilee Family Celebration, a block party at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center Sunday 5-10 pm for Juneteenth and Father's Day, featuring live music, speakers, food, and kids activities. The 22nd Annual Las Vegas Juneteenth Festival, which began as a small art event and grew over the years, is Saturday 4-9 pm inside The Expo at World Market Center with food, vendors, and live R&B performances. The West Las Vegas Library in the historic Westside presents Songs of Freedom Friday at 7 pm and an afternoon of jazz Saturday (beginning at noon) with a Miss Juneteenth ceremony. The Henderson Juneteenth Festival is three days (Friday, Saturday, and Monday) with a celebration of music, community, and culture with special guest performers at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater. Juneteenth is Monday, but events take place throughout the weekend in honor of the federal holiday that recognizes the liberation of enslaved people in the United States. You can also catch Russell Peters at the Wynn Friday and Kathy Griffin at the Mirage Saturday. Bill Maher (whose show "Real Time" remains on hiatus during the writers strike) takes the stage Friday-Saturday at a new venue, the MGM Grand's David Copperfield Theater. It's an even bigger weekend than usual for comedy in Vegas too. You can also catch Erykah Badu & Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) at the Michelob Ultra Arena Friday and a choice of Kelsea Ballerini at Virgin Hotels, Elvis Costello & the Imposters at the Palms, or Brian McKnight at the Wynn Saturday. Other returning residencies this weekend include Keith Urban at Planet Hollywood, Usher at Park MGM, and Barry Manilow at Westgate (all performing Friday-Saturday). "Weekends with Adele" runs Friday and Saturday nights with dates confirmed through November 4. Dance (or laugh) your way through a show this weekendĪfter a short break, Adele resumes what is effectively the "second leg" of her residency at Caesars Palace.
